Butterfly Release in Centennial Park

To commemorate the conclusion of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the Fort Myers Police Department’s Victim’s Advocate office will conduct a butterfly release in Centennial Park on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 1:30 p.m.

The release follows a proclamation by the Mayor of Fort Myers, Mr. Randy Henderson, that named the week of April 7th – 13th Crime Victims’ Rights Week. This week has been designated to honor the rights of victims to be heard and treated with fairness, dignity and respect.

The event will be held to express gratitude and appreciation to the community members, law enforcement professionals and victim service advocates who are committed to victims of crime and provide them with support and assistance. The release event is coordinated by the FMPD’s victim advocate Ms. Chevala Jones and is free and open to the public and media.

Centennial Park is located in Downtown Fort Myers at 2000 W. First Street next to the US 41/Caloosahatchee Bridge overpass.
