Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties Fourth ReStore Location Opens

Habitat of Lee and Hendry Counties’ newest discount home improvement store opened its doors at 10 AM yesterday, March 2. Shoppers will find everything from furniture to cabinets and vanities, to construction materials, appliances and lighting at a fraction of retail prices while helping build affordable housing and preventing good items from ending up in the landfill.

The new 26,200 square foot store is located in the McGregor Pointe Shopping Center at 15271 McGregor Blvd. Habitat will offer coupons available to download on their Facebook page throughout the upcoming week.

The ReStore is chock full of new and gently-used appliances, building materials, cabinets, doors, flooring, furniture, hardware, housewares, lighting, plumbing, tools and windows. It is an ideal shopping spot for homeowners, renters, college students, do-it-yourselfers, contractors, interior designers, landlords, and treasure hunters. The store is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. All proceeds from ReStore sales support Habitat’s mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing.

“Every ReStore purchase creates the opportunity for a better life,” said Tammy Moran, Vice President of ReStores. “All sales help Habitat construct homes for affordable homeownership, provide critical home repairs, revitalize neighborhoods, and support financial literacy classes for community members.”

This is Habitat’s fourth ReStore in Lee and Hendry Counties. Other locations are in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers and Bonita Springs. Store hours are 10 AM-5 PM. Directions and more info can be found at www.restorelee.org.

“The ReStore keeps perfectly-good items out of local landfills, stimulates the economy by providing well-paying jobs, and helps local families purchase affordable homes,” says Kitty Green, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties. “We are always looking for donations and local shoppers to keep the Habitat mission moving forward.”
