FMPD Swears-in Ten New Officers

In a ceremony held March 1st, 2019, in the City of Fort Myers Council Chambers, Chief Derrick Diggs welcomed the largest swearing – in of new officers since he became the Chief of the FMPD.

The group of 10 men and women included a diverse variety of backgrounds and experience. The new officers consist of veterans, college graduates, corrections and security personnel and former retail managers who recently graduated from the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy, many of them with distinguished honors.

Joining the ranks of the FMPD are Officers Jasmine Vasallo, Traci Fixler, Nickson Vilsaint, Abraham Pantoja-Vasquez, Joann Werbalis, Joshua Kuhl, Justin Jaehn, Joseph Way, John Kuhl, and Jonathan King.
