Home Town Hero Speaker Series

RiverStyle Magazine & the Southwest Florida Military Museum & Library Presents an inspiring and educational speaker program to the community.

Hear Hometown Heroes tell their stories and share personal experiences. Each speaker has a unique tale. We will be kicking off the series with General James Lee Dozier.

General Dozier is a retired United States Army officer who was kidnapped by the Italian Red Brigades, a Marxist militant group. He was rescued by NOCS, an Italian SWAT force, after 42 days of captivity. General Dozier was the Deputy Chief of Staff at NATO’s Southern European land forces headquarters at Verona, Italy. His banner currently hangs in the SWFL Military Museum and well as an exhibit as a testament to his immeasurable service to the Nation.

The Hometown Hero Speaker Series will take place monthly at the SWFL Military Museum & Library, 4820 Leonard Street in Cape Coral. The speaker series will be on every 4th Thursday, beginning January 24th, 2019 with General from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
