Car Burglar Arrested at Centre Point Apartments

Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department made a burglary arrest last night, Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at approximately 11:15 p.m. at the Centre Point Apartments located at 2121 Collier Avenue.

A resident of the complex reported that three males were seen attempting to open unlocked car doors. As officers arrived on the scene, the suspects fled and were pursued, with one taken into custody.

Arrested was Brysen Washek (DOB 1/2/04) who was found with items and cash on his person that were reported stolen from vehicles in the parking lot. He was placed under arrest and charged with burglary of an unoccupied vehicle, resisting arrest without violence and transported to the Lee County Jail.

The two other suspects remain at large and the investigation is ongoing.
