Fort Myers Home & Remodeling Show

Friday – Sunday:   Inspiration starts here with the Home & Remodeling Show! Just in time for all of your remodeling, home improvement, decor, and outdoor spaces. Hundreds of experts all under one roof at the Lee County Civic Center!  Starts Friday at 9 am, ends Sunday at 5 pm.

Millennial Oktoberfest

Friday – Sunday:  This is the only craft-centric Oktoberfest celebration in Downtown Fort Myers held at Millennial Brewing Company. This years event will take place during the actual Oktoberfest in Munich! Friday 5pm-12a, Saturday 12p-12a, Sunday 12p-8p. BEER: Over 30 different house-made and local craft Oktoberfest, Pumpkin and seasonal beers.  ENTERTAINMENT: Dueling Pianos and live music performances by local bands all three days. Stein holding competitions happening every two hours for all three days. Carnival Area on Saturday and Sunday featuring multiple bounce houses, kids, games, face painting, balloon artists and more. FOOD: Multiple LOCAL authentic German food vendors.  FREE RIDES to and from the event with The Nickel Ride. The event is benefitting WGCU Public Media and will ask for $5 admission at the gate, of which a portion will be donated directly to WGCU!

Island Hopper Fest @ Matanzas on the Bay

Friday – Sunday:  Visit Matanzas on the Bay & Petey’s Upper Deck during Island Hopper Songwriter Fest to enjoy FREE performances by this amazing line-up of singer/songwriters! Friday: 7 – 8 PM – Jeff Prince & Liz Moriondo; 8:15 – 9:15 PM – Bridgette Tatum & Keefe King.  Saturday: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Jeffrey East, Chris Heine; 4 – 5 PM – Bridgette Tatum, Cassidy Daniels; 6 – 7 PM – Lockwood BarrKarleen Watt; 7:15 – 8:15 – Reverie Lane.  Sunday: 1:30 – 2:30 PM – Katie Lyon Music, Kurtis John, 3 – 4 PM – Heidi NewfieldTim McGeary Music.

Pet Walk

Friday:  Pet Walk is back! Same location, same day, same time, same great fun! Held at the Butterfly Estates, the FREE Pet Walk remains every fourth Friday beginning at 6 pm. Lot’s of great pet-themed activities and a great place to explore! Located at 1815 Fowler Street, the Butterfly Estates is a gem in the River District you’ll be sure to enjoy if you’ve never been.

Collier-Lee Honor Flight welcomes home veterans

Saturday:  Collier-Lee Honor Flight invites the public to attend its welcome home celebration from 8-10:30 p.m. at Southwest Florida International Airport. More than 2,000 family members, local service members, law enforcement and well-wishers are expected at the welcome home ceremony for the veterans on the American Airlines flight returning from Washington, D.C.  Seventy-five senior veterans will be returning from a one-day trip to Washington D.C., where they will have visited the WWII Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam Memorial. The trip includes laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. Each veteran will be accompanied by a guardian.
