Fort Myers Watermelon Festival

Friday – Sunday:  Watermelon Festival is FREE to attend at Fleamaster Flee Market.  Plan to celebrate the summer harvest season at Fleamasters’ Annual Watermelon Festival. Highlights include Speed Eating and Seed Spitting Competition, Community Showcase Exhibition Area, live entertainment, skill games, stilt walker, balloon animals, delicious locally grown watermelon. Cow Milking Contest for kids 12 and under. Try your hand milking our wooden cows! Win a medal or prize… only $1 to enter. 

Pet Walk 

Friday:  Pet Walk is back! New location, same day, same time, same great fun! Now held at the Butterfly Estates, the Pet Walk remains every fourth Friday beginning at 6 pm. Lot’s of great pet-themed activities and a great place to explore! Located at 1815 Fowler Street, the Butterfly Estates is a gem in the River District you’ll be sure to enjoy if you’ve never been. 

ROCK 4 PAWS Fundraiser

Saturday:  Join Millennial Brewing Co. and help raise money for Parker’s Rainbow Bridge Animal Rescue with a night of music, beer, food trucks (including a vegan one) and fun from 5 – 10 pm. Just confirmed that the vegan knife will be at the fundraiser with the yummy vegan desserts!!! There will be raffles silent auction items to bid on and a 50/50 drawing. Let’s have a great evening together raising money to save more furry animals in need!

Fort Myers Tribute to America’s Heroes

Sunday:  Fort Myers Parks, Recreation & Special Events will be hosting a FREE tribute event to America’s Heroes at Centennial Park from 7 – 8 pm. The program will include guest speakers, musical performance by the Southwest Florida Symphony, a rifle salute by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, helicopter flyover, presentation of colors by the Fort Myers Police Department, and a wreath will be laid on the Caloosahatchee River by Marine Units. The American Red Cross will be accepting items for care packages which will be sent to deployed troops. 

Memorial Day Ceremony

Monday:  Join the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens for the annual Memorial Day event, as we honor our nation’s fallen and pay tribute to local service members both at home and abroad. From 9 am – 2 pm.  A buffet barbecue lunch will be served in our Colonial Family Center following the ceremony.
