Spin the wheel and increase the odds for family, friends and neighbors

Las Vegas-style action is a sure bet when the Comrie Cancer Foundation presents Casino Night on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 6-10 p.m. at Crowne Plaza Bell Tower in Fort Myers. Try your luck at blackjack, table games, poker and roulette. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes, a silent auction and a cash bar. All this in an effort to support this local organization who’s focus is to deal a winning hand to those fighting cancer.

The stakes are high, but advance ticket sales guarantee the best admission price for Casino Night. Visit www.comriefoundation.org/whats-next/casino-night to order individual tickets for $25 or $45 per couple. Tickets at the door will be $30 per person across the board. The goal is to raise $10,000 to help patients at the Southwest Florida Regional Cancer Center who need financial help to deal with the costs of treatment.

Douglas Comrie, who founded the foundation with wife Carolyn, said, “It’s just about impossible to meet anyone who hasn’t been touched by cancer in some way. In our work, we’re also constantly reminded how generous the Southwest Florida community is. Casino Night promises to be a thrilling celebration of that spirit. What better reason is there to throw a great party?”

The Comrie Cancer Foundation is grateful to the generous support of its event sponsors: Regional Cancer Center and Crowne Plaza Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops.

Comrie Cancer Foundation is well known in Southwest Florida for Mardi Bras & Boxers, a Bourbon street-inspired affair to support cancer patients, which it began hosting in 2015. The foundation has plans to grow in the community. The group wants to extend its reach with the help of additional fundraisers. These include a new signature soiree, A Night at the Cotton Club, taking a trip back to the Roaring 1920s. The evening will feature gambling tables, a prohibition-era speakeasy and swing band. Tickets and more details will come at comriefoundation.com.  The event will be on Saturday, March 8, 2018.
